The founder of ISTC, Tiarnan O Mahoney, spent nearly 20 years at Anglo Irish Bank. As a Director and Chief Operating Officer he was instrumental in the considerable success enjoyed by the bank over that period. He took over as Head of Treasury in 1986. Tiarnan has extensive knowledge and experience of world capital markets. In January 2006, he was appointed to a five year term as Chairperson of The Pensions Board of Ireland. He has held the title of president of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, Republic of Ireland Division and is currently a council member of the Dublin Chamber of Commerce. Tiarnan graduated from University College Dublin with a Bachelor of Commerce degree in 1981 and a Masters of Business Administration in 1989.
